Assigning quota based on file system


We can use following command to assign quota based on file system, which is enabled for quotas:


# edquota -t


This will open current quotas applied on the file system in a text editor, which may be as follows:


Grace period before enforcing soft limits for users:


Time units may be: Days, Hours, Minutes or Seconds


File system Block grace period Inode grace period


/dev/vol_gr0/log_vol2 8 days 8 days


We may change block or inode grace period and save changes.
