Using traceroute

This command is useful for finding the problems in the path taken by our message, to the destination. The syntax for this command is: traceroute hostname or traceroute IP_address. This command stops if the destination, the router or the gateway has problem. Following is the example of using traceroute for the local network as well as using traceroute for Google.
