Creating the kickstart file:
For creating the ks.cfg file we must install kick start configurator, as follows:
Start – System Settings – Add/Remove Applications – Administrative Tools –
Tick the check box of System-config-kickstart – Close – Update
Now we can create ks.cfg file as follows:
Start – System Tools – Kickstart
Do the required changes save the file and Exit.
The other way to start creating your own kickstart file is to edit the sample ks.cfg file. When you install Red Hat Linux, the installation process places a file places a file called anaconda-ks.cfg. This file is placed in /root directory. We can use this file as the basis for ks.cfg, we will use this for our kickstart installation. The sample anaconda-ks.cfg file, of my computer, is shown below -
